ELA Member Rajiv Nagaich Lands PBS Planning Show, and Elder Law Attorneys Should Get Ready for Calls

ELA Member Rajiv Nagaich Lands PBS Planning Show, and Elder Law Attorneys Should Get Ready for CallsLongtime Seattle-area ElderLawAnswers member Rajiv Nagaich has informed us that he will have his own PBS show, “Master Your Future,” starting in December.  The show will highlight his firm’s unique planning system, LifePlanning, which he uses to help clients avoid institutional care, protect assets, and minimize burdens on loved ones. The show will be broadcast nationally by stations that choose to air it. (For a preview of the show, click here.)

Rajiv believes that the show will spur calls to ElderLawAnswers members because it will point viewers to elder law attorneys, rather than estate planning attorneys, as the go-to solution for legal issues. But because his unique planning approach employs terms that are native to his firm, it could create challenges for elder law attorneys who suddenly start receiving client inquiries about concepts they are unfamiliar with, such as a “Safe Harbor Trust,” a “Tailored POA,” or a “Manual of Instructions.” This could reflect poorly on the attorney, the elder law profession as a whole, or Rajiv’s show.

For this reason, Rajiv will be holding four virtual informational sessions for elder law attorneys and allied professionals the week of November 16 (listed below) so they can learn more about his system. The sessions will give an overview of the show and discuss the types of questions that the show likely will generate. If you are interested in learning about the background of the show, you may want to attend one of the four sessions. You can register for any one of them:
